Under this program, DEP has completed over 35,000 fixture retrofits and upgrades in over 450 City facilities with interagency partners including the Department of Education, the Department of Parks and Recreation, the New York City Fire Department, and the City University of New York, Health and Hospitals Corporation, and the Department of Cultural Affairs—Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
In addition to the hearing conservation program elements, this Instruction delineates the roles and responsibilities of the Directorate of Science, Technology and Medicine, Regional Administrators, Directorate Heads, the Hearing Conservation Coordinator in each Area office, and affected OSHA personnel covered by PER 04-00-003 to effectively implement this Instruction.
This HCP complies with the provisions of the Hearing Conservation Amendment to .95, Occupational noise exposure.
